about the event

The Wildlife Conservation Society hosts the fifth annual SIP FOR THE SEA to support the New York Aquarium. This signature benefit features pairings of sustainable wines with sustainable seafood and other special offerings from many of New York’s and Brooklyn’s top restaurants. This festive evening provides an occasion to celebrate the wonders of the ocean, showcase WCS’s commitment to marine education and conservation in New York and around the globe, and support the Aquarium as it rebuilds and transforms the exhibits and Brooklyn Coney Island campus into a premier destination.

The dramatic transformation of the New York Aquarium is well underway. The centerpiece is the dazzling new exhibit, Ocean Wonders: Sharks!, which will hold more than 500,000 gallons of water in fully immersive and interactive exhibits and feature sharks, rays, sea turtles, and thousands of schooling fish, when it opens in 2018!

Wines

Wine Tasting Provided by

bonaterra

Bonterra Organic Vineyards, located in Northern California’s Mendocino County, has been producing wine from 100% organically grown grapes since 1993. The celebrated range of wines is made by award winning winemakers Robert Blue and Jeff Cichocki, who attribute the fantastic wines to excellent grapes, grown organically with the help of sheep and chickens in the vineyards to manage pests naturally.
